Kalo, I think JoinFS now deserves its own entry near the top of the list of Multiplayer servers at the top right of our website's front page.

The latest version on initial install now requires the model matching step to be performed before you can attempt a connection.

Also are we considering putting our regular JoinFS servers on the list of available servers that can be chosen by new users of JoinFS?

Thanks, is there a list somewhere already? Just let me know which IP's to put on the homepage, I'm not sure who is running a server now.

Actually I was initially proposing that we submit our servers to the developer to be listed as community Hubs inside the application (View -> Hubs)

But now that you mention it I have been running a stable AU JoinFS for us for some months available at the same IP that SIMLINK AU is available at (101.165.150.139). I believe ATCRoo also maintains one but I cannot find the IP address at present.

Do we have a community member with direct links to the developer?

Hi guys, I see in the newer versions of JoinFS , there is an option in settings to select your server as a public HUB.

Thanks Pops, that's what I was referring too. I hadn't realised it did not require the dev's permission to enable Hub status.

Kalo your thoughts on placing our servers as Hub's?

Sounds like a good idea, maybe we could label them something like
                  msFlights.net NA Central
                  msFlights.net AU
msFlights.net NA West (I think Bob mentioned he would be willing to host a node)

I replied affirmatively to Kalo's Discord PM confirmation regarding BigBox sim server in Las Vegas as a permanent JoinFS node. I also verbally apprised Karl of that Discord conversation with Kalo. I'm happy, honored and able to continue hosting whatever sim servers and file storage the community may deem useful. In my immediate future (tomorrow and possibly into Thursday), I am going to rewire, routinely maintain and enhance the network, servers and my client computers here at my residence in Las Vegas. I will announce completion of this extensive project in text on Discord and here in this thread when completed and tested. BigBox will be off line without further announcement for some brief periods of that maintenance. Our community's file server should be unaffected and remain constantly available.
                    Respects, Bob ...

I have taken the liberty following the above posts to activate the msFlights.net AU JoinFS Hub server and publish it. This includes a link to our website and the Discord Comms link from the homepage.

It is now visible and accessible to anyone who has JoinFS v1.12+ (older versions require connection via direct IP connection as prior versions do not list the hubs)

BigBox sim server located in Las Vegas is once again back on line and available for configuration as a JoinFS node, pursuant to the suggestion and request in this thread. TeamViewer ID and TV password remain the same. BigBox's hosting of TACKPACK~msflights.net~NA Steam server is tested locally and operational. BigBox US2 SimLink node SHOULD be functional at the traditional IP address listed in our Discord text channel and on our website, IP 72.193.29.165.

While I do happily volunteer BigBox facility for JoinFS node use, I am unfamiliar with the feasibility and procedure for such a JoinFS hosting node to coexist with our community's Steam sim server on BigBox. I have been preoccupied with family and life requirements and I am not versed in JoinFS server node installation at all. May I ask another sim server admin to attempt JoinFS server node installation on BigBox and report to me personally installation success or need for my local intervention, cell phone talk or text, Discord PM, forum PM or email (RSDunn@yahoo.com)? JoinFS has not been installed on BigBox in any iteration, client nor server node, no previous JoinFS revisions, before.

Thank you in advance for such remote installation and testing, admins. I am constantly and consistently contactable. More information, personal sim server and client reconfiguration and general backstory of my life as it affects my duties here at msFLIGHTS.net is available upon request.

I now have JoinFS running under Linux on the same machine SimLink UK uses.
So if another JFS Hub is needed feel free although we should probably stick to one JFS node so we all end up flying together.
