I have been learning 3DStudio MAX off and on for the last year or so. I've done a couple of tutorials on how to make ED209, a Ford Mustang and now I've made my own VW bus without any help from a tutorial. I'll post my models here as I make them.

If you have the FSX SDK installed, there should be a file called "XtoMDL.exe" somewhere that should allow you to convert your 3DS Max File to a FSX .mdl file. I dont know how to texture things so that FSX will read them, however.Facebook: www.facebook.com/msflights
