Microsoft Flight Simulator returns - The rebirth of the beloved franchise.

I was talking about this in work today with one of my colleagues.
It does look promising and we're awaiting the minimum requirements, so we can start our shopping spree at the nearest PC outlet.

Have minimum specs been released yet?

No and when pressed about it they flat out did not want to commit to anything.

HOWEVER, speaking with devs they were running 60FPS on their personal machines specd out with i7's and 1080Ti's. The rigs we were using were i7's with 2080's.

Everything I've seen so far that has come from the attendees has had the same core.... "WOW!" Looking like it might be pretty cool.

For those who might be interested, I was fortunate enough to attend the recent global Preview event held for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

It was a humbling experience, and to be honest I went into it with very low expectations. I expected a lot of hype and no substance or commitment.

To say I was stunned by what we saw and got to fly is an understatement. This sim is NUTS. We had one on one time with the developers themselves, those actually messing with lines of code. We got hands on with the current build of the sim as well as seeing some of what they have planned into the future. The level of detail this sim is offering is insane.

I have put most of my thoughts in a couple of videos.

The best one is the one done with my fellow Grumpy Simmers which was filmed at the event. Grab a drink and some snacks as its 90 mins long but I think you will all appreciate it. I have to admit, I'm actually getting less impressed. Of the 4 little videos we have one over a city with static cars on the freeway from photo scenery. The video over the ocean/islands had honestly crappy looking trees placed. More and more just feeling like the jump from FS9 to FSX, not a huge revolutionary jump.

Thanks, Oz-Flyer. I logged in and find an insider program "road map", 2 screenshots and 4 very short videos and not much more. Insider program forums still say "coming soon" and are inoperable and gray'd out.
I'd personally appreciate it if those msFLIGHTS.net members who are also registered with the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (FSXX) insider program who DO find recent information to continue to bring it here to our community forums.
