MONDAY MAIL RUN #16: Alabama north

With the transcontinental mail run over, Doug (Idleline86) will take us on a two week tour of his home state in our express mail plane, the Lockheed 9 Orion. The first week is north Alabama.

Alabama north: Muscle Shoals to Tuscaloosa (Alabama south will be next week.) Depart: KMSL (Northwest Alabama Regional, Muscle Shoals). Intermediate stop 1: KHSV (Huntsville International), via the Tennessee River, flying low. Intermediate stop 2: KANB (Anniston Metropolitan), via GADSDEN VOR. Intermediate stop 3: KBHM (Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International), via Interstate I-20. Arrive: KTCL (Tuscaloosa Regional), via CRIMSON VOR. Aircraft: Lockheed model 9/9D Orions only. If you use the Chrome browser, and you haven't downloaded the plane before be sure to read the "CHROME HAS BLOCKED IT! HELP" file there first! Altitude: As called by flight lead Idleline86. Expect a mix of 2500ft down to very low! Speed: Very fast cruise, 200-220 mph. Flight plan and maps here. Scenery: Default OK. Highly recommended: FSgenesis US landclass. Desirable: FTX Global or other texture improver. Optional: FTX Vector* see note below (please set to Global region, non-hybrid, with all airports visited as exceptions) or other line feature improver. Undesirable: Any airport scenery packs that change runway elevation or position. * Note: Tennessee river features (like the dams) are better with Vector DEACTIVATED.
