With the transcontinental mail run over, Doug (Idleline86) will take us on a two week tour of his home state in our express mail plane, the Lockheed 9 Orion. The first week is north Alabama.
Alabama north: Muscle Shoals to Tuscaloosa (Alabama south will be next week.) Depart: KMSL (Northwest Alabama Regional, Muscle Shoals). Intermediate stop 1: KHSV (Huntsville International), via the Tennessee River, flying low. Intermediate stop 2: KANB (Anniston Metropolitan), via GADSDEN VOR. Intermediate stop 3: KBHM (Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International), via Interstate I-20. Arrive: KTCL (Tuscaloosa Regional), via CRIMSON VOR. Aircraft: Lockheed model 9/9D Orions only.
