  • Report FSX server instability instances here

The internet connection to the main msFLIGHTS.net FSX host and server (IP 67.170.81.45) has become stable and dependable again as of 17 January (apparantly, hopefully). Therefore, we no longer solicit server connection stability reports in this thread. However, if a user should experience repeated or unusual server problems, please continue to post such error conditions here. [edit-added 17 JAN 07:00 EST]

Primary FSX multi server 67.170.81.45 is on line. FSOpen is functioning at latest rev .92. Backup server 68.103.155.68 is off line. Availability of backup server 71.196.59.97 has yet to be determined. FSX server information is currest as of 07:30 16 January.

From about Sunday, 13 January 'til Tuesday, 15 January msFLIGHT.net FSX multi pilots have reported a high number of Crashes To Desktop (CTD) of FSX multi, displaying a fatal error message. More general disconnections from the server and failures to connect have been reported at a slightly increased rate also. Temporarily, please use this thread to report instances of FSX server instability. Several of us are working on analysis and solution and we solicit pilot reports on server performance. This original post will be edited to provide current information and instructions as such becomes relevant. These editions will include what particular information is sought from the pilots' reports such as time of day of error, aircraft flown, position info, scenery, error messages and event viewer .dll error messages. During analysis, we will be configuring several servers on several IP addresses with different configurations of FSX host, FSOpen and possibly different hardware configurations. TeamSpeak will be kept as current as possible with these configuration and on-line status and addresses. However, the forum home page FSX server status information has lagged behind TeamSpeak in information timleness.
