  • EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2013!

Although AirVenture does not officially start until Monday, aircraft are already starting to arrive and everybody is gearing up for this year's big airshow! I drove down to Oshkosh today to see the mass arrival of Cherokees and some of the other arrivals at Wittman Regional Airport, but had to leave before the Cherokees arrived due to a small storm. Tomorrow will be the big day for mass arrivals though with Bonanzas, Cessna, and Mooneys all arriving tomorrow afternoon. Here are a couple pictures I took, one of the Oshkosh water tower and the other of the (for the most part) empty field that they will park many aircraft in.
    If it ain't Boeing — I ain't going.

Hi guys! Today was the first day that you could pick up your wrist bands and kinda tour the grounds. So I picked up my wrist band today and took a few pictures. I also found the WarGaming Hummer and took a few pictures of that too. Here is what I got:

p.s. if you have a Imgur account and copy the BBCode when you click on a image in your Imgur account then paste the code in your post it loads way quicker then our slow server

alternatively you can put [IMG]your image url[/IMG] tags around the url of your image if you upload them elsewhere.

Thanks Waterman! I already earned myself a free World of Tanks hat for earning 600 xp in a battle. Of course, their account did have a premium account and I was using premium shells.

Well, darker colors (black, brown, grey) absorb more heat than other, lighter colors (white, yellow). I think the point of the point of the heat reflecting coat is to stop the darker colored areas of the plane from getting too hot, causing problems for the plane. Now, when the suns hits the plane, instead of the dark plane absorbing the heat from the sunlight, it will reflect it back to avoid problems for the plane.

                              Plus it looks cool
