  • FSX: Connecting to an FSX Server via IP Address

If you’re new to FSX multiplayer flying, you’ll quickly discover that FSX’s in-game system, powered by GameSpy, is easy, useful, and entirely unreliable. To avoid some of the GameSpy related crashes/disconnects/etc, some FSX sessions are connected to directly via I.P. address.

    - Open FSX
    - Choose ‘Multiplayer’ on the left
    - Choose Local Network (LAN) and enter your desired gamertag/username (can be anything)
    - Click “Connect Directly” (at the bottom of your screen)
    - Enter the Host’s I.P. address and click “Find Sessions” (You can see our active host's I.P. address in TeamSpeak3)
    Done!

    Enjoy & Happy Flying!

    -Wingman

P.S.- Be sure you have configured your router for proper FSX multiplayer use. See this how-to article if you still need to do that.
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

    Hi Wingman,
Thanks a lot for your prompt response. I followed your detailed instruction, updated my router for FSX Ports to Forward and reset it, but still I can't connect to MSFlights.net. I'm able to ping it, though.
    BTW, I have a Netgear ADSL2+ Modem Router DGN2200v2.
I'll appreciate any kind of help.

    Thanks,

    Yigal
