Creating Themed Events that take place over several weeks

Earlier tonight, I was going to create a new event for next Sunday's Helicopters to Austria flight when it dawned on me that I was sick of creating that event over and over again. So instead, I performed a bit of an experiment to see if I could just change the date and details of my flight and have it appear on the next weeks calendar. Sure enough it moved just fine, as expected, what I didn't expect, or rather think about until post experiment was that the photo's that people have posted to the even also moved forward. Which got me to thinking that this is a great way to keep all the photo's for a themed event in one place. By moving the event you keep all the replys to the event on a single thread, rather than having to go back to each flight to see the photos......
