I failed to note your post here ak but I did stumble upon the five buck sale of FSX Steam Edition when I went to check on the FSX Steam server I am running on BigBox. I bought four gifts at the five buck price. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with 4 additional licenses (I already own one license for the server and one applied to my client computer) but for the price and because of the way the msFLIGHTS.net community is headed with regard to this new platform, I couldn't pass it up.

I understand that some movement is afoot to explore interoperability with classic FSX in multiplayer. I'll keep you all posted and nothing is confirmed but this glimer of compatibility hope beats the prior forecast that such interoperability would never happen. Thanks to our friends at Boston Virtual ATC and Dovetail for agreeing to at least talk about the feasibility and necessity of such mulitiplayer concurrent flight.
