  • MSFLIGHTS and FSX Boxed version

I noticed the below message when logging into Teamspeak today.

"MSFlights.Net is progressively making a transition to the Steam version of Flight Simulator X. Please make note of this and work on obtaining it within the next month. Stay tuned to the website for instructions, guides, and general FAQ on steam and why we are making this transition."

Does this mean there will no longer be a boxed version server?

There is no set time-frame for obsolescence of FSX:Boxed, but with the progressive cessation of FSX:Boxed sales and availability of FSX:SE, that very obsolescence is inevitable. It will, in my opinion, go the way of FS2004, which is to say it will be used still, but by very few. I, myself, remain reluctant to make the change, as I often am on most subjects, but I did indeed purchase FSX:SE knowing full well that the future of online/multiplayer simulated flight platforms changed considerably over the course of 2014.
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.
