Ever wanted trakir but couldnt afford it well use this.

Hi gents thought id share for those of you who haven't seen it already there is a free bit of software that uses your webcam and face recognition like trackir.
It is free and works quite well if you set it up properly (thats the tricky bit)

there are loads of videos on youtube of how to set it up its not as good as trackir but good enough for a free software.

I dabbled with FaceTrackNoIR (a.k.a. notrackfaceir or nofacetrackir) a while ago. I was impressed with the fact that it even worked, but my overall experience was not quite what I had hoped for, so I uninstalled it. Nonetheless, it's worth a try if you want a free replacement for TrackIR. Here's a video of me using FaceTrackNoIR (excuse the TERRIBLE flying; I wasn't focused at all on precision when I took the video, just various example viewpoints/head movements).

i watched a few videos and managed to set it up to run ok but admittedly it was a bit wobbly to start with but works ok now.
