  • Any Good?

Hello. I've haven't been on fsx in awhile. I got rid of my old PC and I'm looking in buying a new one. I don't need the monitor. I do have a budget. Up to $700 but will go to $800. Is this one any good?

Hi cougarbasketball. I recently purchased a rig on Amazon quite similar to the one you propose and I have had great results. Same brand and everything. The only downside that it has is that the Graphics card is a little under powered so I added a Geforce GTX 750 for $116 dollars and BINGO! For under $650 total I now have a fantastic system that runs FSX at 35 FPS with all the sliders at maximum (in single player). This gives you a lot of wiggle room to tweak your graphics/ frame rates to your liking in a crowded multiplayer session.

Here are links to both the PC and Graphics card:

This Pc is a lot like the one you linked, except it has a 3.6ghz Quad core (the one they sent me is actually 3.8ghz!), 8gb Ram, 1 TB HD and Windows 7 64bit. As FSX is quite CPU demanding the 3.6 quad core really cranks out good results. Combined with the low price/ high performing GTX 750 graphics card, I would recommend this system to anyone on a budget.

Is it difficult to put the graphics card in. Not very familiar on working with the inside of computers

Here's a few (shameless) examples of my system in action. As you can see, good frames, hi res, smooth. Money well spent IMHO.

And the graphics card was very easy to install. It was my first time installing ANYTHING on a computer and it was a snap.
