  • Multiplayer "Jittering" - A Solution

If you've ever flown in close proximity to another aircraft in multiplayer, you've most likely seen what I'm talking about. Once you get within a few hundred feet of another aircraft, they will appear to move back and forth very quickly, as if they were "vibrating", and it can be very distracting, not to mention making formation flying near impossible.

The solution is very simple: Lock your framerate to 30 frames per second. The issue only occurs above 30 fps, and seems to get worse the higher it goes. Solid 30 fps = multiplayer traffic was smooth as butter. I tried locking my frame rate to 35 and 40 fps respectively, and both settings produced the jittering effect.

    Hope this helps!
