  • Nvidia game ready driver ver. 452.06 for MSFS2020

I installed Nvidia driver 452.06 and related GForce Experience update this morning PDT and at least nothing crashed. I have not yet been authorized to download my installation of MSFS2020 in my timezone. Testers' sim access no longer authorizes (as expected). Others have published in public this morning of increased sim performance with the Nvidia driver 452.06

    [QUOTE of somebody]

    Perfect driver!

At KLAX I had around 25-30 FPS at 4K Ultra setting - now with the new one I’m at solid 40 and after airborne around 55 :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: - still talking about the beta of MSFS2020.

Will see how the final is going…

Nothing else in sim settings was changed! Just a driver Update. And the better information is that I also increased some settings to ultra which where set down to high in the past couple of weeks

What I will say … now I can really run this sim in 4K with all settings on ultra (only vsync off)

    Cautionary posting of somebody else:

    [QUOTE]

PSA - Beware of the Valve Index bug in new Nvidia driver 452.06

It’s been there since 446.14 and may prevent the Head Mounted Display from working due to HDCP error. Look for this in the readme (can’t link due to forum rules apparently).

“HDCP errors occur with Valve Index VR. [2967616]”

The fix is to fall back to 445.87 or earlier, depending on of course your priorities…

    [END QUOTE]
    Respects, Bob ...

Thanks... Will definitely update. VERY curious to see how many frames my 2070S can push to this ultra-rare(wide) 3840x1200 (32:10) monitor. Of course I'm hoping to get "Ultra" out of it, but I was encouraged by ObsidianAnt's visual comparison of the primary graphics settings; even on "low" this sim looks best-in-class.

Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

Was having no trouble getting a consistent 60fps on high settings with TAA on an i7 8700 and a 2060 at 1080p in the beta (cities like New York brought that down to 35ish). It run's very well, with great frame timing, so 30fps in FSXX is a much, much smoother experience then 30fps in FSX or P3D. Hopefully it's even better with the new drivers!
