Hi, there are exactly 557 airports in MS flight Alaska wilderness package. that is not including seaplane bases (which there are 137 of them). There is only one seaplane base in Hawaii, which is at the Honolulu airport on Oahu.

I don't have the definitive total, but I believe there may be around 400 (based on the fact that I know one pilot who has visited more than 400 unique airports and that there are only 37 in Hawaii). I think I've visited 280 Alaskan airports so far.

I downloaded it and played it on my 55" Samsung LED. It looks great. I wonder what he used to record the flight.

Unless you're going to use something very fast (warbirds?) it's going to be quite a flight. 165 NM in an RV-6 will be quite something, especially with a majority of it over water. Not accounting for time to land, regroup, and takeoff again. Not that I don't want to do it, I'm all for it, but it just could take a while. Maybe starting at 8 PM rather than 9? Just a suggestion.
Panda, it'll be in a RV6 due to its capabilities and I'm assuming a speed of 145kts average. Also, the event starts at 8pm EST UTC-5:00, if you read the notice on the calendar.

Thanks for getting another event started in MS Flight. Hopefully the input we receive from the community will help us put together better and more intersting events in the future.

As for your event this Thursday, there are a number of diffoptions you can pick, and here is suggection only

A four airport (2 on each island) flight:
    <div id="sv_3937" style="width: 200px; height: 200px;"><a href="http://skyvector.com/">FBO Directory</a> at SkyVector.com</div><script src="http://skyvector.com/perl/lchart?ll=21.548642571292955,-158.50048828209938&amp;s=3&amp;c=sv_3937&amp;i=301 " type="text/javascript"></script>

There are plenty more options to slect, and I for one will be in the C-46.

You don't like a challenge? It would be fun exploring Alaska by landing at every airport.

I think the next thing to do event-wise in Flight is the city/island hops in Hawaii and Alaska. Those should be easy to setup.

Also, we could set a goal to land at every airport in Hawaii and Alaska.

Maybe something like the recent DC-3 flight, where we each have different groups and all come together to one airport? I think that would be a cool thing, but the problem might be the groups, 4 groups of 4 doesn't sound that exciting.
