Hi Folks,
I have been tinkering again so with the theme of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day I have produced a repaint for Manfred Jan's C-47v2. this is of FZ692 "Kwicherbichen" of 233 Sqn RAF. This Aircraft participated in the D-Day paratroop drops as well as being one of the first aircraft to land on the Continent after D-day.
This aircraft along with others from 233 Sqn provided Air Medical evacuation services and supply transport after the landings.
Currently this scheme is worn by the Dakota Mk III ZA947 of the RAF Battle Of Britain Memorial flight. You can read more about this aircraft's history here: http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/theaircraft/dakota.cfm
