We've begun our tour of the lower 48 states by flying every Wednesday. However Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are both on Wednesdays this year. Those are both evenings that I realize many pilots may be elsewhere. What should we do? Here are some possibilities:
I'm in mostly favor of either 4a or 4b, but I guess 3 would be OK too. I hear that Monday is a slightly better day for some pilots than Wednesday, and I understand that Mondays do give many people something to look forward to at the start of the work/college/school week. (That's why I originally chose Monday for the Mail Run series, but Monday Night Football takes priority in the Fall!)
So what do you think? What would you prefer, and why? I'd very much appreciate it if you could please comment below. :eagerness:
- Carry on regardless on Dec 24th and Dec 31st, and never mind if they're poorly attended and people miss things.
- Three week gap: miss out those two Wednesdays from our schedule, giving us a 3 week gap between the Dec 17th and Jan 7th flights.
- Reschedule just those two flights a day earlier to Tuesdays Dec 23rd and Dec 30th, continuing as normal on Wednesday Jan 7th.
- Switch to flying every Monday after Christmas starting with Monday Dec 29th, because Monday night football finishes on Dec 22nd! Regarding the previous week, either:
- Reschedule the Dec 24th flight a day earlier to the 23rd or,
- Take a rest that week and have a 12 day gap between Dec 17th and Dec 29th flights.
