  • Around the World lap 4 --- Episode 49: African ZEPPELIN Adventure! --- 3302 New Lome, Togo

Hi pilots! Looks like its time for another adventure back in Time!

    Tonight's mission:

Thursday night HQ is sending us to the year 3302 so that we can deliver some high-priority engineers to the Saud-Kruger Starship factory in New Lome, Africa, in time for the release of their newest ship, the mighty Baluga passenger liner . These gentlemen from the future don't trust our ancient fleet of prop airplanes and are insisting that we transport them in something more high-tech like Zeppelins!

This flight will take place in SimLink. See here for details:

    Thursdays flightplan is as follows:

    New Lagos, Nigeria Departure (DNMM)
    New Cotonou, Benin (DBBB)
    Baluga factory-New Lome, Togo (DXXX)

A flightplan .PLN file for this flight can be found here:
    http://1drv.ms/1O4aN5s

Required Scenery files: Click the link below to grab the required scenery files. Simply drop these five .bgl files into "addon scenery/ scenery". As usual, you will know if its installed correctly if you see a large radar dish at the starting airport:eagerness:

    AIRCRAFT

For this flight we will be flying the Zeppelin NT which you can get from Storm's hanger here:
    https://files.mycloud.com/home.php?b...ete___separate

If you haven't flown this magnificent beast yet then you are in for a treat as it's a ton of fun. Please spend a few minutes before the flight reading the enclosed documentation and learning how to handle this craft, its well worth the awesomeness.:eagerness:

    Time and weather

Please set your local (at Lagos, Nigeria) time to be 1500 hours at takeoff.
Also, we will be using the default weather theme "Winter Wonderland" for this flight. I know this might seem strange, but it will reflect the unusual weather that the planet has experienced since the alien invasion of 2795.:highly_amused:

    Hope to see everyone there!

    Happy landings,
    Lazer

I strongly recommend using the following chart to sequence through the startup properly. Ctrl-E QUICK START IS NOT ENOUGH! This will save you from having problems during the flight. Just attend to the things listed on the chart in numbered order, 1 thru 18.

For your convenience, I've included the chart with the download zip file for the Zeppelin NT.

I regret that I will not be able to join this tarmac time as I previously had posted my intention and ability to do. Explanation is posted elsewhere on our forums. I post this from KLAS gate B-11.
      Respects, Bob ...

The only thing I can think of...other than wish I was along...was wouldn't it have been cool had all the zeppelins been skinned so that they look like flying whales....

There is a whale livery available and made by Novawing24 here: http://msflights.net/forum/showthrea...14-Zeppelin-NT

Sorry I couldn't make it Lazer. I was busy watching Hueys and Chinooks going chop chop directly over me on the east coast beach.
