  • Stretching FSXX's legs, part UNO (Wednesday Aug 19 @ 5pm EDT)

24 hours should give us enough time to work the initial kinks out in order to prep for multiplayer.

Prepare to fly any of the default FSXX aircraft.

We'll fly some places we have not or typically don't fly around. First thought is Africa.
    Starts
    August 19, 2020 09:00 PM
    Ends
    August 19, 2020 11:00 PM

I will be leaving work early to join you on this aptly-timed National Aviation Day group flight.

I wonder if this obscure holiday had any bearing on Microsoft's targeted release date.
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

Just like your thanksgiving, your holiday is on the wrong day!

Nope, it was simply decided by the powers-that-be that there should be THREE National Aviation Days in North America.

Nope. 4 p.m. Wichita time. The world revolves around Wichita time ya' know. :-) As far as where, be ready for anything. Hoping to take a look, see at a lot of places that we don't typically hang around... We'll figure it out as a group that day.

Must be a midwest thing... my company used to have their patch windows listed in UTC time, but in their world UTC was central time as the world revolved around them. They have finally fixed it and mostly realize a world wide company operates in other times.

LOL, I didn't say central time. I said Wichita time. Did you know that Hawg lives in Wichita?

I am. We'll have to get permission from any other attendees. Not sure why but some folks are quite opposed to particularly streaming the audio conversations.

The default will be to not stream. If 100% of the participants are okay with it then I say go for it!

I think streaming is a good idea. I might add that as a note to my flights.

                      Thanks Karl

The MP set up can be a bit of a mixed bag. Looking forward to testing it!

There are two major settings that are required to see others that you intend to see. Server selection and Multiplayer settings.
Everyone needs to be on the same server. The default setting is Automatic(based on where you live).

You can choose to fly with everyone or in a group, in order to do this from the main menu Welcome screen, click World Map to start a new free flight, then in the top right corner, click the Flight Conditions box. Next, click on All players.

Live Players selection is not recommended for most cases. It only allows you to fly with users that have real world settings and locks these settings.
Group Only can be useful if hosting a flight. This will allow the server to not show any planes other than those in the group.
