G'day Pilots!
This week MSF Airways are routing through some of the most remote areas in Australia in a bit of a wave the flag exercise! This will also mark a short break in the Australia Tour series as real life commitments take priority.
This will be taking place in FSX:Classic.
The flight plan and the recommended scenery for this trip are now available for download from my OneDrive!
For users who already have my scenery installed PLEASE review the readme carefully.
This week will feature one VA route: MSF2462.
Weather
A word of warning about weather. The Jeppesen loaded weather is nothing even close to correct for this area. In fact it renders operation out of most of the airstrips here not viable. I HIGHLY recommend a weather engine such as Active Sky (payware) or FSrealWX (freeware). Alternatively you can use the Clear Weather function of FSUIPC. If you have any questions about how to do this please ask!
A Special Thank You to OZ Flyer and the VA Management. For all participants of the group flight who lodge PIREPS during this tour a 2x Time Bonus will be applied! Please add "Part of Novawing24's Australia Tour" to your PIREP comments to be eligible.
Departure Time: 2100AEST (0700 EDT 1100Z)
Recommended Aircraft: Captain Sim C-130 or anything acceptable on Lazerbolt's Around the World Flights. I will be flying either the Captain Sim C-130J or the Iris C-27J.
Recommended Terrain Mesh: Orbx Freeware Australia Holgermesh
Recommended Scenery: Novawing24's AusTour Airports V3.1
