    Let's Try and Break a Steam Edition Server Flight!

    Greetings Pilots!

    As our good friend Razor is on leave this week I am hosting an impromptu Steam Edition Flight to test the limits of the Server.

    This will be on the MSFlights.net AU Steam server.

    We will be flying low and fast through Colorado tonight! The flight plan is now available from my OneDrive

    We will be assembling at KTAD.

        A gaggle of Goshawks assembled yesterday for testing the limits of the Steam server from the land downunder.

        Overall it was very stable and I ask everyone who partook in the flight to leave their feedback about server stability and their screenshots here!

          Server stability: We crashed Kalo's server when flying around Denver doing a visibility range test.
          Client performance: Frame rates very similar to Classic; Steam has no advantage.* Autogen scenery load time slower in Steam than Classic, often leaving gaps in the landscape buildings or vegetation. Dynamic mesh "settling" also noticed several times in Steam. Distance of other airplane visibility problems, though cause was inconclusive and may be airplane dependent.

          *Tested in identical circumstances around KAPA (20-30 FPS) and then over the High Plains of eastern Colorado (120+ FPS), with OrbX Global and Vector scenery, custom airport scenery, and sliders fully right. True in both single and multiplayer. This is contrary to anecdotal reports from other testers.
