This event is only open to members of the MSF Storm Stalkers Group. Being such, the Teamspeak room will be locked with a password. That password has already been distributed to official members. If you are an official member of the Stalkers and you do not have the password, let me know. If you are not an official member, and would like to join us, you must submit your request at least 24 hours prior to the event in order to be able to fly in it. This rule is to assist the group with keeping the Teamspeak professional and task oriented. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Here is a "flight plan" that could serve as a backup plan for the Storm Stalkers if no "reasonable" storm can be found.

I have looked into the historical records, and Hurricane ARTHUR in 2014 looks like a good candidate. It would require the use of Active Sky Next in it's historical mode. The settings I would suggest are as follows:

Date/Time: July 4, 2014 @ 1400 UTC

Departure Airport:KNTU Oceania VA or KORF Norfolk Intl VA or KNGU Norfolk NS VA. All three airports are in the outer portions of the hurricane, and the one selected will depend on the strength of the head winds your aircraft will tolerate.
