  • Storm Stalkers Event!

6th Event for the storm Stalkers Group. This week like last week we will have a departure airport and a destination using VOR nav for flight.
    Here are the Details.

This event is only open to members of the MSF Storm Stalkers Group. Being such, the Teamspeak room will be locked with a password. That password has already been distributed to official members. If you are an official member of the Stalkers and you do not have the password, let me know. If you are not an official member, and would like to join us, you must submit your request at least 24 hours prior to the event in order to be able to fly in it. This rule is to assist the group with keeping the Teamspeak professional and task oriented. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    Plan is:
This week we are looking at a live hurricane. Get out your Active sky and lets go find it.

As of 06/dec/2014 17:30 gmt the center of Typhoon Hagupit was 255 miles west of Guiuan Airport in the Philippines Lat N11*43.37, Lon E130* 1.47. Winds were above 99kts with extreme turbolance and precipitation with low visibility. Worst part of the storm was off of the north western wall, with the most lightening and extreme conditions. The eye is small and not that defined but is there to fly though with 0kts at center eye.

With all due respect to the imaginative talents of our "Storm Stalkers" leader, I have come up with a few that I like ... like

Weather Warriors or Low-pressure Loiterers or Cold front Confronters. I'm just getting started! Boy can I see the myriad of possible other names for this group.
