  • Around the World/ Back in Time continues: 1896 Rotodynes in Switzerland

Hey guys! looks like its time for another Around the World Special assignment!

Eduard Hoffmann-Krayer, who founded the Swiss Society for Volkskunde (the study of folklore) in 1896 has requested the use of our singularity drive on Thursday night. Eduard has for years scoffed at the lack of authenticity in traditional Swiss folk parades and needs our help in organizing his hometown parade in Basel Switzerland.
Thursday night we will gather characters from Swiss folklore and deliver them to Eduard Hoffmann-Krayer for use in the Basel Volkskunde parade.

This flight is for Fairey Rotodynes ONLY.
It can be downloaded from Storms Onedrive here:http://tinyurl.com/storms-rotodyne

Please be sure to read all of the supplied documents regarding installation and operation of the Rotodyne.

Thursday's cargo delivery route takes us through some of the most beautiful areas of the Swiss Alps. Our first two stops are really stunning locations.

Our flight plan is as follows:

    LSZS Departure
    LSPM
    LSMA
    LSZH
    LFSB

How appropriate. Frau Holda has already shaken her pillows in preparation. She must have known! :snowman:

This is going to be one interesting flight.
          Never flew a Rotodyne before
Never knew of their existence until now
          You learn something new everyday....

Wait, do we have to hover those rotodynes onto the runway, and land like a helicopter, or can we just land like a normal plane

Then I probably may be landing the regular way!

These pics were taken using real world weather (using Active Sky Next), hence the valley floors being covered in thick cloud in places. (Please click on the pics for full size/clarity.)
