Two screenshots from the test flight for this week's Great 48! I'm flying an Ercoupe, low lying cloud behind me, inbound to Mount Snow. The Fall colors are gorgeous: join me on Wednesday evening and see for yourself! (Please click on the pics for full size/clarity.)

For your information, Kalo (and anyone else who wants to know), those "spectacular settings" are as follows:
          • FTX Global textures
          • FTX Vector active
          • FSgenesis US landclass
          • No special scenery.
          • Weather was set to so-called "real world Jeppesen" at 4:20pm local with no client side weather engine active.
          • FSX display settings (where relevant):
            • Graphics:
              • Filtering: Anisotropic
              • Anti-Aliasing checked
              • Global texture resolution: very high
              • Advanced Animations checked
            • Aircraft: All checkboxes checked
            • Scenery:
              • All sliders: full right
              • All checkboxes: checked
            • Weather:
              • Cloud draw distance: 110 mi
              • Cloud coverage density: Maximum
              • Detailed clouds selected

          • REX Essential + Overdrive HD package:
            • Inland water textures: Inland Blue: Deep Blue Eyes, unmodified
            • Wave Animation: Disturbance
            • Sky textures: Daytime = Day Set: REX Natural Day
            • Cloud Textures:
              • 3D Clouds = Cumulus Set: 50 / Nimbo Stratus HD Enable
              • Cirrus Clouds = Cirrus Set: 09 / Cirro Cumulus

          • Special utilities active:
            • ENB series (using custom profile available in my Utilities Workshop)
            • FS Water Configurator (using custom profile available in my Utilities Workshop)

Those are my normal settings, with the following exceptions:
          • I normally run with FTX Vector disabled when in multiplayer to improve frame rates.
          • I use some custom scenery (England, Iceland, and some airports) but none was local to these screenshots.

          Hope that's of some use.

Reminder and Trivia Qs! Bring your 75 knot aircraft to KMPV by 9pm tonight.

            Trivia questions:
            1. What have "natural helicopters" got to do with the state of Vermont?
            2. Why are ruts dear to Rutland, Vermont, in more than just the name?
Answers please during the flight tonight.

(For Bob: yes these are the cryptic ones, as you've more time. The easy ones come during the flight!)

Thanks everyone for all the fabulous pictures! Lazer: my wife loved the video and we thought the music a great choice, and I love the clouds at 1:20-1:38. Thanks guys for a memorable flight.

Next week, October 1st, we'll leave the Fall colors behind us as we stroll through Massachusetts at just 55 knots. Full details, along with lots of aircraft suggestions, coming very soon.
