Join us again as we continue our 1,387 mile flight from Dawson Creek, BC to Delta Junction, AK along the historic Alaska-Canadian Highway which was constructed during World War II.
This week we will be flying 330 NMs from Ft. Nelson to Pine Lake with two stops along the way at Mile 422 and Watson Lake. We will be following highway 97 again this week until we cross into the Yukon Territory where the road changes names to Highway 1. We'll plan on staying within 1,000 feet of the ground which varies from 1,000 - 5,000 feet and keeping the power set for a 175kt cruise speed. We'll be taxiing to runway 21 for takeoff at Fort Nelson, landing and taking off on runway 25 at Mile 422, landing on runway 08 at Watson Lake, but taking off on runway 26 at Watson Lake, and then landing runway 34 at Pine Lake and taxiing to parking.
