  • Around the World/ Back in time continues: 1856 Costa Rica

Hey guys! Looks like its time for another night of haulin' cargo in those magnificent Herky-Birds!

Thursday night we will be delivering people and supplies to 1856 Costa Rica to lend our assistance to President Juan Rafael Mora.

The flightplan for this flight is as follows:

    MMTP Departure RW 05
    MSLP San Salvador, RW 07 ILS 110.3 / 066
    MNMG Managua, RW 09 ILS 109.1 / 095
    MRLB Liberia, RW 07 ILS 111.3 / 063

This flight covers Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica!

As always with these Around the World flights the preferred aircraft is the awesome Captain Sim C130 Hercules, but feel free to use any aircraft that can maintain 270 KIAS at around 20,000 ft. All I ask is that you are familiar with your bird and its systems, and that the group stays together. Many fantastic freeware planes (particularly the Antinov AN12) that "fit the bill" can be found on Storms Skydrive'

Hey guys! Just a reminder for tonights cargo flight!

We will be departing from MMTP Runway 05 at 9pm Eastern. The first leg is pretty long (around 200 miles) so we will be on a tight schedule tonight.

Costa Rica's long tradition of peace (to this day they have no official military) is about to be threatened from the north and we must lend our assistance to the brave "Tico's".

      Hope to see everyone there!
      Happy landings,
      Lazer

Since it's become a tradition to sit around and chat on the ramp after we finish our flights (God I'd love to sit on a ramp with you guys sometime), we've seen some really cool sunsets. Thought I oughta share the shots I got with the albatross. Great flight, great times, with some great guys.
When God finally says, "King, my office. Now!" I want to go barreling in there half spun out with holes in my clothes, smoke rising from me, and my hair in a mess. I want to be busy. I don't want to go explain myself and not have a great story to go along with it.
