We will be starting at Kona. Hopefully we get some amazing screenshots of that lineup! Can't wait.

Please link/repost all official MSF repaints for DC-3's on this thread.
Boston Virtual did confirm they will be in full attendance.

This event looks to be great!

As some may have seen in the Modding thread I have created an MSF repaint for the Default DC-3. This is currently at version 0.7 and is available from my Onedrive http://tinyurl.com/novawing24-beta

Please download it and try it and let me know if there are any glaring issues I have missed. Otherwise I will release this as a final version this week.

Nova did you figure out how to display Multiplayer aircraft with an FSRecorder recording?
I'd like to have a few people dedicated to filming, maybe we can make it a new tradition following one of these events, to have a video showcasing it.

Warhawk, in short YES! you have to use the advanced play feature, it allows you to select who to playback and who not to. You can also change aircraft/paintschemes.

The one recommendation is to have FSRecorder recording while everyone is still on the ground (the whole default aircraft condition thing)

It will be a lot easier with everyone in the same type, otherwise it records what the person recording the file subs them as.

Here is a slight modification to the flight plan that could make this group flight more interesting.

I added a flight back through the valley on departure from PHOG (Kahului on maui), and a the use of the SOK VOR (115.4 Mhz) on Kauai.

I like that idea. I think what we can do is stick to the official stops, and deviate selectively where it would be neat like the valley flying and have some good fun. The flight plan has already been distributed as is so this can be something we just do in between a leg when everyone is following.

I appreciate you conveying the invite and clarifying FSFlyboys' cross community flight attendance intentions, Flyingdreamz. You and I, among others, had discussed FSFlyboys' specific inclusion yesterday and I am grateful for your message bearing. IMHO, inclusion of all communities is implicit and inherent in the spirit of cross community group flight.

Mulder, I noted and was glad to see your reminder post in FSOpen forum. Well written, well done, Mulder.

I saw also on FSOpen forum the retirement announcement of my (our) friend David Bartlam from the operations of FSXWorldwide. I bid Mr. Bartlam respects and gratitude personally and I implied well wishes from FLIGHTS.net but only by my traditional signature which includes my msflights.net email address. Perhaps some of you pilots who are familiar with David Bartlam's good works and/or FSXWorldwide's contributions to the simming world might consider adding your wishes to that FSOpen forum thread entitled "FSXWorldwide - Important Changes". I see that several of the other simming community principles have already posted their thanks to David in that thread.

Per a brief conversation between WarHawK and myself today, It has been agreed that BigBox server will be on line as possible alternate cross community group flight server. Additionally it is WarHawK's desire that our current ban list continue to be invoked on Karl's main RedBox FSX host. WarHawK proposes that ban exceptions be handled on a case by case basis as necessary. Previously, we have disabled our community's ban list for the period of the group flight on any FSX host serving the cross community flight. However, again per WarHawK's management decision on this flight, this alternate BigBox FSX host will have no ban list invoked. Additionally, as our paid FSOpen Server2 license will be applied to RedBox, the alternate BigBox will be using the free FSOpen Server2 license. This free version of the FSOpen license disables the ability to whitelist aircraft type after the eleventh pilot joins the session and therefore, the alternate backup server will have to manually manage permitted aircraft type. I intend to be present to help manage FSX hosting as necessary.
                      Respects, Bob ...

After talking to Slo today, he would pass the word along and "rally the troops" if you will.

I personally will not be attending the Cross Community flight, I will be flying young eagles for my EAA chapter on Saturday.

Yes, I talked to an admin at FSXWorldwide and they will be attending CC4, as well as UK317 as I talked to Derek317 for the confirmation of this attendance.
