  • GOONEY BIRD FLIGHT: Redding CA to Eugene OR

This week we will get to use our Gooney Birds to land at a couple of smaller intermediate airports as we leave California for the state of Oregon. We will be using our aircraft to do what it does best, that is, flying into smaller and/or limited airports. This means you will need to brush up on your "bush pilot" skills for this one. Oregon is a beautiful state with many natural sights, and I hope to see a few, even in the default FSX scenery.

      Hi Drew4,

the preferred aircraft for this flight is Manfred Jans C-47v2 (available on Storm's Onedrive) or the default DC-3.

Coast has asked me run this flight for him tonight. He has been temporarily but unavoidably delayed, and away from his normal flying and computer set-up. If he's back in time, he'll resume flight lead; otherwise, I'll give it a go at his request!

Coast tells me that, apart from good piloting skills, we need clear weather to find and land at our airports. I've checked the forecast and by great good fortune the weather should be clear almost throughout. Consequently, she should NOT need a server reset immediately prior to the flight.

Hoping to see you all there. In Gooney Birds!

I look forward to you substitute leading Coast's flight tonight and I'll surely be there, on time and well studied. I'll invoke a fair weather themed backup server with the required daylight configured just in case you should need it at IP 71.231.12.143.
          Respects, Bob ...

Thanks Storm for leading this Gooney Bird flight. I'm back and will join all of you for Lazers Around the World, back in time: 1699 Louisiana Group Flight tonight.

Great shots, PR! I unfortunately forgot to open fraps before launching FSX so most of my screenshots didnt get saved, but I did like these three.
