  • Lazers Around the World continues: Northern Japan cargo run (Thu Jan 9th, 9pm Eastern)

Hi pilots! Looks like its time for another night of hauling cargo in those majestic Herkybirds!

After our "special assignment" up to the icy Arctic last time, our cargo hauling convoy returns to Hiroshimanishi to continue its journey north through Japan.

Here is the plan for Thursday nights flight:

    RJBH departing RW 22
    RJOS RW 11
    RJGG RW 36 ILS 111.9
    RJAF RW 36
    RJSF RW 01 ILS 110.5

As always the preferred aircraft for these cargo flights is the mighty C130 Hercules, but feel free to use any AC that can maintain 280 knots IAS at 10,000 feet.

All are welcome and encouraged to join in these Around the World flights, just be prepared and courteous. This includes having some familiarity with your aircraft and its systems.

Don't forget to go to my SkyDrive and grab the scenery for "Lazers Around the World tags"

    Hope to see everyone there!

Heres a handy kneeboard and detailed flighplan for this Herky-venture.

Simply click the link below and select "open" instead of save and it will open in notepad ready to use!

To use the detailed flight plan just click the link below and save the .PLN file to your "Documents/Flight simulator x files" folder. You can then load it into your in-game FSX flight planner. Simple!

Enjoy these resources and have a good flight!

      Around the world tags

      Hi guys!
I've tagged the places we've visited in our Around the World adventures with "msFlights.net was here!" posters and billboards. There are around 80 airports tagged so far and counting.

The scenery file for this is available in my SkyDrive and the teamspeak file browser, along with full instructions for installation.

Its easy to install, and the single .BGL file will be easy to supply regular updates for. I plan on releasing an up-date before every "Lazers Around the World" group flight.

Here is the link to my SkyDrive which contains the scenery and instructions:

      http://sdrv.ms/1i6EmCj

You can also get the latest .bgl in the Teamspeak file browser

      Have fun and happy landings!

Where are your engine exhaust streams? Not that I'm complaining... I'd have that junk going right into my engines 1 and 2 inlets throughout the flight! :disgust:

Ooooooor.... is that a C-130.0.0.1 - the much anticipated hybrid-electric variant on display at CES this year?
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

Sorry I missed it! The Boxcar had to stay in the hangar as I was in hospital - probably the only thing that would have kept me away!

Get well soon Storm, we all missed you! BTW there was only one slow but proud C-119 Boxcar in last nights flight, but somehow it was always to far behind to get into any of the screenshots.
