If anyone want's to try out Dovetail's Train Simulator 2015, it's currently 85% off on steam. At $5.99 it's really a steal so I decided to try it out (not to mention I want to evaluate Dovetail's work ).
I briefly tried out Microsoft Train Simulator over 10 years ago, and I have to say it was surprisingly fun. There's way more to piloting a train than you would think, making the experience quite fun. I remember it was fun trying to plan the arrival time to pick up passengers at each stop perfectly. A little to fast or a little brake to late, you will blow right past the station. I'm hoping I will be just as pleased with Dovetail's train simulator.

This is a single player game. However, I can't imagine what multiplayer train simulation might look like. Crash detection off, for sure.
Just kidding about the promo code but you CAN get three extra lines of DLC for $2.25 more.
I bought the simulator with the extra DLC because I'm a sucker for such a drastic price reduction. I have no idea when I will ever play trains. I am curious to see what Dovetail's premier software offering feels like, as Kalo stated in his OP.
