I find it interesting how all of the quotes you've used are from the past. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it would appear to me that today's society/culture doesn't seem to value such ideas as these. If there were a way to have these painted in the halls of each school in our country and drilled into the minds of the younger generations then maybe they would learn from them and become better for having read them. Sadly though, our society doesn't value such things as honor, integrity, excellence, respect, or manners. We live in a world where everyone has to be pleased and accepted no matter what they do or how they do it. We stand for nothing, so in turn we fall for everything.

Someone else's tradition may be different to yours.
Someone else's morals may be different to yours.
Someone else's high road is no higher or lower than yours.

But we judge, we always judge.
We choose whom to respect and whom not to.
For without the precious fantasy of those yardsticks, where would our identity be?
