  • My Flight Simulator X keeps getting Fatal Errors!

My Microsoft Flight Simulator X keeps getting fatal errors even in single player. This has been going on for around 2 or 3 weeks now and I am not sure how to fix it. Sometimes it will happen when I am in the middle of a flight or even when I am selecting airplanes or even when I am starting up FSX. If anyone knows a way to fix this or can help me that would be great!

Ah, I constantly get those when I get into our session and it gets to 100%. I have been putting up with that for about 2 years now and I haven't found a fix. I am sure someone else probably has one.

Fresh install of FSX, and be extremely picky about DLC. Simply deleting aircraft that is amateur or that you don't like won't remove all files and traces of it, and it can cause instability.
And if that doesn't fix it, then a full system restore.

Cannot complain like I did, until you do at LEAST a fresh install of the game, leave the PC over night and get it done. Solved all my problems.

I would love to do that but I have a few questions first. Can I keep my logbook and awards somewhere else and then refer back to them later and is there a limit that you can install your copy of FSX? My FSX has only been installed twice but my acceleration maybe about five times because a friend borrowed it out to me.

        Thanks- Wheeled

I'm not sure on your questions wheeled. If push comes to shove, we can all chip in and get you a full copy of the game because it's very inexpensive compared to what it used to be.

I can't imagine that you can't get things squared away, even with a phone call to Microsoft if they allow for it after they removed support for the game.

I could easily buy a copy myself, thanks though. I would like to hear how it worked out for you, Jcom.

              Thanks WarHawk.

Don't get any freeware modern fighter-jets for a start( both of you ). They are problematic I have found.

Yeah, I didn't have any freeware fighters just because I don't care for flying em. Thanks for the advice though.
