FSX connection problems...

I just recently reinstalled FSX and tried to connect to multiplayer. When I tried to connect to MSFLIGHTS my connection timed out. I reinstalled Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 and tried again. Still, same problem. This time I tried to connect to another server. Timed out again. After further research I learned that I had to port forward, which I did, and tried reconnecting. Timed out again. I have tried every step that I know of and I still cannot connect. Any suggestions?
