Yes. Please describe your setup. Such as what hardware you're using. Also, what terrain and weather programs. Thanks in advance. That is what I would want for my own setup and view.

Ok, here it goes. Hopefully I dont miss anything. My PC is not very good, you just have to find a balance in the settings you use. Framerate over scenery density.

            Hardware:
            Q6600 Quad Core @ 2.40ghz
            3GB of DDR2 Ram
            ATI 5750 1GB

            Software:
Numerous Orbx products including Global and Vector
            Mogwaisoft Shade for FSX
            Custom ENB series
            REX 4 Texture Direct
            OpusFSX for weather injection

I make very few tweaks to my fsx.cfg and don't recommend using Bajotes tweaks, but that's just my opinion. I have my sliders on normal for scenery, and i think my cloud distance is set to 60 miles at the second highest density. Everything else is pretty much maxed out, I'll double check all of my settings next time I open FSX. I find the key to good frame rates is finding good quality but low poly aircraft. Glass cockpits are a no go for me, as most developers like Carenado for example, have far too high resolutions set for their displays for my system and lowering their displayed resolution in the aircraft.cfg makes the displays unreadable. I can probably compile a list of all the aircraft I fly that are high fidelity yet have low performance impact if you guys are interested. I've been flying a lot more freeware lately, and have also compiled quiet a collection of really good freeware scenery for places like Switzerland and France. Hope that was enough info, let me know if you have any more questions!
