  • How To: Remove the snow effect that lingers beneath aircraft

So, we've all seen it. You will be happily puttering along and notice you or your wingman's aircraft is somehow emitting a blast of snow 20 feet beneath. Well not anymore! The fix is quite simple.

    1. Open your FSX effects folder, mine is in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects"
    2. Find a file titled "fx_SnowEngineWash.fx" and rename it to "oldfx_SnowEngineWash.fx"
    3. That's it! As far as I know, this file is only responsible for that effect, and nothing else is affected

    Happy flying!
