msFlights APP

Hello everyone.

I am working on the development of a android app for msFlights. Its going good so far but know I am going to start asking for input from the members of msFlights!

The app will consist of a home screen with buttons that link to the facebook, youtube, msFlights.net, flight map, and the current players in the server at the time. Its also possible to have tabs at the bottom of the app that can allow for fast switching between features. Almost everything can be customized so feel free to make suggestions.

I would love feedback from anyone that can tryout the app. I am not going to post the APK files here because I don't want people to accidentally think this is a final version. If you wish to be apart of the beta test, please contact me at zachkalb@gmail.com or with a private message here on msFlights. If you dont know how to install a app on android just let me know when you email me for the apk. Again I appreciate everyone's input and if everything works out, the app should be in that Google Play store late August, early September.

Just to give my input, the most common questions we seem to get are "Where are you flying, what are you flying and when is the next flight?" so perhaps a page dedicated the flight schedule and put more focus on those three topics? Also maybe Teamspeak information as well, I dont think you would be able to tie into the widget on the homepage but perhaps just a simple page displaying the I.P. That way all the information you will ever need is right there in front of you!

Sorry its not. That's just the current style of the app. I would be open to development on other platforms but androids developer fee is wayyyy cheaper then apple or windows, but anything can happen.

I saw Supertzag a couple of days ago in TS for the first time in a long time. He explained how real life was keeping him very busy but he stated his intention to purchase and app store license and continue work on it. Mulder is also working on apps, both iPhone and android but hasn't gotten very far yet. Do you have something in mind, app-wise? I use Supertzag's TeamSpeak viewer function all the time and his webpage viewer is better than my Chrome because my Chrome browser shows me the chat box tab which takes up a lot of room on my <5" screen where half of it is on screen keyboard.

Hello everyone!

Yes I have been very busy with high school, dual enrollment at my local state college and work. Im sorry I dont have much extra time and I haven't raised any funds to put the app in the app store or respond to anyone in a while. I hope to hop back on FSX at some point but now just isnt the time. I do miss coming on here and doing all these group flights and I will surely have to hop back on sometime soon!
