Hello People of MSFlights.net
I'm just getting started at MSFlights. I've been using FSX for a few years but just recently started getting into Multiplayer. From the looks of the web page, MSFlights seems like a good fit.
Once but long ago I got my private pilots license. I would love to fly again but I'm still waiting for the time and money! Simming has been a fun new hobby and a great way to maintain some of my aviation skills.
I tend to fly planes in sims that I might actually fly in real life--like the Maule, Cub, Cessna 185, etc. Bush flying is best. I love tricky airports. I'd like to finally learn IFR procedures.
I am working on an Arduino version of the GPS and autopilot instrument panels designed by Mark at Almost Aviation http://almostaviation.freeforums.net/ I've been using the program Link2FS ( http://www.jimspage.co.nz/intro.htm ) to control the sim with the Arduino board. I'd love to share ideas with anyone else working on a cockpit.
In the real world I'm a land surveyor in San Francisco, California. I enjoy malty beer, mountain rivers, and spending time with my two- week old son.
