  • Building my new PC

    Hey guys.

So, I've decided I want to improve my PC gaming experience, and I've started with the video card. As I know a lot of you have experience in this type of thing, I thought I would come here and ask for some advice.

So first off, I need to know which of these is better, I found them lying around and honestly, I can't tell the difference between one and the other. Pretty sure none of these are necessarily gaming cards, but I'm doing the best I can with what I have. Here they are:

I could really use all the advice I could get, and I appreciate any help.

Depending on how much money you are willing to spend, if you go to the amazon store on our website, there is a "Computer Build" part to it. In my previous laptop that was really awful, I had a GeForce "GT" card running and it really was not good at all for the gaming I wanted to do. I did not even attempt FSX on that computer. If you do not have too much money to spend on a build or a card, I would highly suggest buying a new one all together because the cards you have here are very old. This card is a GTX 660 and I believe it i worth it for the cost. I am not too educated about the AMD Cards so I would not really be a help to you there; HawgDawg would be the best person to help you out in the AMD Card area.

Well, what are your current specs that you are currently working with?

Easiest way for us to look at what you are working with is going to the start menu, and in the search bar type "dxdiag" and enter. A window should open, displaying a tab called System and in the window it should show your system information. On that page, in the bottom right, click "Save all information" and upload that .txt file, OR open it and copy/paste the first paragraph and post it here.

To be perfectly honest, both of those cards are terrible and if you are looking to improve your FSX experience, they are a waste of money. Even if you are using an integrated graphics card, the difference would be so minimal I wouldnt recomend either purchase.

But if you can post your specs I think that would give us a better idea of what your options are.

Well, I was running with the second one (the MSI one) and it was running things OK but after looking around my house, I found the first one. I wasn't planning on purchasing one, but I just wanted to see if there was any difference as far as which is better so I know if I should stick with the one I'm running, or switch to the one I found.

Ah, ok, in that case then, the hd 4350 is the better card. So I would stay with that.
