Hi All,
Some of you that use the Saitek panels would know about the SPAD (Saitek Panel Advanced Driver) which no longer is in development.
Well the good news is that there is a NEW SPAD.neXt project under way. It is not based on the old one but a completely new system.
From what I have played with it is much better then the old one. There are two version of it the FREE and the PAYwhere.
At this time I only have the free version which only let you use FSUIPC commands to set the displays and switchs.
The payware let you use both FSUICP and SIMconect.
Supported Saitek Panels
Radio Panel
Multi Panel
Switch Panel
Backlit Information Panel
FIP's coming.
Unregistered vs. registered version
SPAD.neXt comes in two variants. The unregistered version mentioned so far covers all the basic functions of the Saitek panels named under 2. It also allows programming specific dials/switches for this default planes.
Besides, there is an extended version which can be accessed via the SETTINGS|REGISTRATION menu.
In addition to the functions mentioned above it sports the following features:
PMDG 737 NGX
PMDG 777
Aerosoft Airbus
Wilco Airbus
SimConnect local/remote
Access to LVARS (e.g. for A2A aircrafts)
Saitek Flight Information Panel
Saitek Pro Flight Yoke
Saitek Quadrant
Saitek Trim Wheel
Saitek Rudder Paddles
Gauge-Market
Aircraft Profile-Database
Send Keyboard-Keys to any program
Keyboard macros
ESP-Expressions for BIP
C#-Scripting
Features marked in green are available from the startup of the extended version while those written in black will be added bit by bit.
There is a trial version available for the extended version from within the program under SETTINGS|REGISTRATION. You should use this to check if you will find the extended features useful and if they are working for you. It is highly recommended to try this first before actually buying the paid version.
Buying the extended version will guarantee continuous updates during the life cycle of the product.
