True, true! Not sure if I will get to it in August but I suspect I will somehow force myself!

Really would have liked a native C-47/DC-3, so what are the issues (if any) for add-on aircraft?

I'll buy the premium version after release. I can't find an advantage to a pre-order.

Orbx just confirmed that they are developing for the sim (surprise surprise) BUT they also confirmed that content does not have to be sold on Microsoft's store as they will be selling on both there and on their own store.

"The maximum number of people have already responded to this form"...

                  Yes/Yes/Prem-Del... comment below... and Yes.

                  Comment:

Based on information presented to-date involving integration of real-world flight data and any player's ability to affect AI flights via direct-intervention/control or by way of runway incursion/ATC interference... HOW IN THE WORLD does Microsoft/Asobo reconcile the inevitable multiverse wherein multiple players are affecting multiple real-world-data-driven AI aircrafts' flight plans which are then seen by other players?!? For example, will I ever actually be able to count on Flight123, scheduled to arrive at airport XYZ at 12:34z, to actually arrive at that airport at that time? Its in-game departure was probably delayed due to player-activity at the departure airport. Its in-game flight path was probably altered due to direct player-intervention, and its arrival could be delayed by in-game player activity at the arrival airport.
Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

Seems to be resolved now, had the same response earlier but it went through when I tried a moment ago.

Excited for the release of FS2020. Fairly happy with the initial offerings in regards to aircraft. 3 Cubs, Pitts S2, Extra 330, Icon A5, JBM VL-3, CAP10 all offer plenty of fun, though I do wish they included an RV in there just for old times sake, and maybe a Stearman or a Harvard.

Will hold out on pre-ordering for now in hopes of a Steam release.

Now if only I could find a decent flight stick that is actually in stock...

                      Survey works fine now.

                      Yes, no, no, yes.

Enthusiast-authored aircraft ? (like Manfred Jahn C-47). FSUIPC ? JoinFS-like multi-simulator compatibility ? Open (editable) FSX-like file structure ? In view of several official announcements and much individual discussion (Redit/AVSIM), what is the real status of NDA ?
(question 5) IMHO, FSXX alpha 1.5.4 is but a testing subset of already being tested build, forthcoming beta and eventual release candidate. Release the sim now, even with warts as opposed to wait half a year for a more polished product. Let the informed consumer decide on purchase vs. waiting. I'll be purchasing Premium for PC on release day but not pre-ordering, regardless of anything.

I'm debating on what I want to do. I got a free 3 month subscription to XBox Game Pass for PC, so I'll be able to try out the standard edition with no additional cost. An extra $60 for 10 aircraft/10 airports is a great price, but right now that would be buying sight unseen. They may or may not be of the quality people hope for.

Some of the questions in my mind about purchasing:
With the edition exclusives will MS discourage 3rd party devs from creating their own versions?
Will it come to Steam, and do I want to purchase it there?
Do I want to purchase it via MS platforms to show support?
Do I purchase addon's via MS platforms so they keep investing in the platform or directly from developers?

All this said, I do hope we can get folks together to fly to bush strips in Alaska, or go island hopping in Hawaii in some of those old favs. It looks like it will be a blast. Like AK said, too bad there is no RV.

Apologies about the issue with the survey. It seems Microsoft Forms caps out at 200 responses. If you get that message, try again shortly afterwards as I am monitoring it now and am clearing it out as it reaches that threshold.

Thank you for all the responses! Keep them coming!

This info will be collated and released as a summary and sourced in a Three Grumpy Simmers episode in the future
