Will Dovetail put out a new version of flight simulator, like FSX, that would be dependent upon a GPU instead of the CPU? We sure could use improved frame rates.

But yes, Dovetail is working on some sort of flight simulation product, separate from FSX, but that's pretty much all that is known right now. It sounds like they'll be doing something with the FSX/Flight tools that Microsoft already created, and not necessarily developing the tech themselves.
The award-winning creators of the best-selling Train Simulator franchise have today announced a global licensing deal with Microsoft, granting them the rights to develop and publish all-new flight products based on Microsoft’s genre-defining flight technology. The company is currently investigating new concepts in this area and is expecting to bring a release to market in 2015.Facebook: www.facebook.com/msflights

Hi all, not sure about all the non-improvement of Steam, however guess I'm the rare case then.
I have a Major improvement with the Steam Edition of FSX without a doubt. My Frame rates have
doubled, and my fatals are gone. Of course I have my system tweaked out pretty good, as I've been
Around the Sim since it was born. I do have both running side by side without any issues. It does
Work, and most of my aircraft are now in Steam also. Without spending double the money.
Hope this helps,
Jungle
