The other folder you have Coast is an outdated previous version. Best to delete that one and just use the one contained in the latest update to prevent conflicts.

I made a mistake in the previous update and changed the name of the folder which created confusion.
I will keep the names precisely the same to prevent this kind of problems.
      I apologize.

      • Mike,

Thanks for the update. In behalf of rotorcraft fans here, I'd like you to request popular models like the Bell 206, Bell 407, MD500/530 and Bell 212 on your future SimLink model matching updates, whenever possible... Thanks again.

          • Well, I am looking at attending the Tom Allensworth Memorial flight, but have a question regarding the SimLink and VPilot software.

Are these stand-alone, or do they integrate in FS? I just want to make sure I can remove them after the event.

            • Stand alone and easily removable. Both apps have to be running and you have to be in the cockpit to connect.

Great to see people supporting the flight. As Travis says the two pieces of software are standalone. The only impact on your sim is the installation of the AI models. These models all have a consistent naming convention (AI_"Model") so are easily locatable and removed if you want to remove simlink from your system post the flight.

                • V6 model matching is out

We where not able to communicate with model maker Thomas Röhl, here is partial solution to visibility range problem.

Inside "AI_Zeppelin NT\model.AI" folder you will find 2 .BAT files.
Double clicking anyone of those will activate either long range model with propellers stopped, or short range model with propellers animated.
Unfortunately that is the only solution for now that we have.

Make sure that you activate before starting your simulator (this cannot be done on-the-fly)
By default it is set up as long range.

                    • Why aren't you using Roger Wilco as Voice Server for the ATC comunications since it's compatible with the VVL

I didn't know it was even still viable. I haven't used it since the WinXP & FS9 days. Give us some more info about it.

                        • I know you're able to connect with an Roger Wilco Client to certian vatsim voice servers such as: rw.liveatc.net or rw-asia.liveatc.net and Vatsim clients are also cappable to connect to these Servers. So why not use an own rc server to connect to then it should be possible to use the auto tune function from the fsd pilot client

I believe Roo looked into it and the quality wasn't great or something like that. I might be wrong but think roo was exploring options for that side of things.

                            • Both Roger Wilco and TS2 servers could be setup to provide voice capabilities.

I have and have tested both.
Roger Wilco was bought out by Gamespy, so the comms you hear on FSX over multiplayer would be the quality you'd hear using RW.
FSINN can be configured to auto switch TS2 channels when the aircraft radio is tuned.
I've already created a Plugin for TS3 (which is what we already use for voice) that did that anyway, so didn't pursue the voice aspect any further.
If you don't use BOINC or World Community Grid then you should!

                              • Update to AI PBY Catalina texture (Travis request)

Drop "AI_PBY" folder in "SimObjects\Rotorcraft" and let it overwrite.
One of the pains was too bright.
It is not required to update.
