Hi everyone, I've had FSX for a while and just recently have been wanting to repaint planes. The plane I want to repaint is the F-35B, by Dino Cattaneo. It comes with a paint kit. I have tried to copy the paintkit into Paint to repaint it, but I found the task rather tedious of simply dragging the brush across the design. Is there any other simple way to repaint planes?

That link is a good url on how to repaint an aircraft. It reccomends photoshop, but you can use most image manipulation software.

I'm not really sure what you are asking here. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? If you just want to change the numbers or something, that is relatively easy, but still a fairly big job in and of itself if you have no previous PS experience.
I am currently working on an F-35B RCAF repaint, so can probably help you if need it. But no, there really is no "simple" way of painting, its hard and tedious work if you want something that looks half decent.
The tutorial Warhawk linked to is the one I used to teach myself to paint. I also recommend this website, has lots of good resources for repainting. http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/link...elinks.php?c=8Last edited by ak416; January 22, 2013, 11:32 PM.Facebook: www.facebook.com/msflights
