    If any aeroplane ever deserved to be called “classic”, then the venerable and ubiquitous Cessna 172 in all of its many variations surely deserves that title.     • Overheating can cause scoring of cylinder head walls which could ultimately lead to failure if warnings are ignored and overly abused

    • System failures, including flaps that can independently jam or break based on the actual forces put upon them. If you deploy your flaps at too high a speed, you could find yourself in a very dangerous situation.

    • Authentic battery. The battery capacity is based on temperature. The major draw comes from engine starting.

    • Oil pressure system is affected by oil viscosity (oil thickness). Oil viscosity is affected by oil temperature. Now when you start the engine, you need to be careful to give the engine time to warm

      Any word on Multiplayer friendly? Unfortunately it's currently looking like I'll have to wait until next month to pick it up... Perhaps time to take PB&J to work to scrounge it up ahead of time...

          Initial anecdotal observations indicate 670 packets per 30 second cycle. Normal high end packet draw is 250. This specific aircraft occasionally exhibits normal packet requirements (no flooding) in some ground operations and ground configurations. It needs to be analyzed in an attempt to figure out what diminishes that packet draw. Then maybe we might beg A2A for a multiplayer fix or patch it ourselves or look for some other attempt at a packet patch. Until then, it is perfectly flyable at our current 1,000 packets/cycle kick limit. Also, it's a trainer. We might consider examining cockpit sharing packet requirements.

          Of course the multiplayer bottleneck on the host side is upload speed. Our maximum upload requirements for our FSX host is under 2.5 Megabits per second maximum as measured by an FSOpen Server2 readout. Our copper wire cable connection is constantly measured at just over 20 Mb/s. CPU usage is constantly measured at under 50 % with FSX host using 30% (i7 2600K 3.4GHz CPU). A more FSXperienced pilot than myself is going to have to explain the theory of client side multiplayer packet effects of multiple high packet requirement aircraft simultaneously in our FSX host.

            Well that part shouldn't be an issue at all, as per A2A it is not compatible with cockpit sharing at all.

            Internal FSX Shared cockpit feature will not work I'm afraid. This is the same for all complex outside FSX coded aircraft
