  • SunSkyJet Studios where payware becomes freeware!

That's right pilots, its no lie, SunSkyJet is a freeware airport scenery addon developer that has some serious talent. These guys put some payware companies to shame and all for the low low price of FREE. Sound too good to be true? Just check out the pictures beneath and remember if you really like the product and you want to contribute, please donate, albeit you absolutely do not have to.

First up is KPHL (Philadelphia International Airport), this was recently released within the last 8 months, it took them over 3 years to develop this because they came over from FS2004 and wanted to do it right the first time.

Up next is their new project which is currently slated for the end of 2013 is KDTW (Detroit Wayne CO Airport), this airport has been in development for about a year now and they are using all of their skill and knowledge from KPHL into KDTW, and again its all FREE. Please keep in mind these are ALPHA status pictures and they do not represent final product quality.

Spartan, I need some help with the install. I had this installed in the past, but since my FSX re-install I'm having trouble getting it working.

I ran the .exe installer which ran fine, but now when I try to add KPHL to the FSX scenery library it does not seem to work.

        The SunSky jet manual said:
Activate the scenery within FSX by clickin<SETTINGS><SCENERY LIBRARY>.
Then click the <ADD AREA> button and choose the folder /AddonScenery/Sunskyjet_KPHL_FSX

When I navigate to this folder it wants to look inside this folder, then there is nothing selectable inside. Any suggestions?

            thanks AK! that's kinda strange.

For anyone else with the same trouble I actually had to do an extra step, because just clicking in the white space didn't get the box to close. Once navigated to the FSX\Addon Scenery\sunskyjet_KPHL_FSX, first click OK, then click in the white space. You might have to do this a couple times to get it to work.

Yup, every time you add something to the scenery library... I always forget it and have to look it back up.

its a well known issue with windows vista/7 that this bug happens, you have to do it for most scenery installs, especially freeware ones.
