  • Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations Bell 222A Released!

The Bell 222A is the result of nearly three years of hard work and dedication. The project survived many delays and was even a way of relieving stress during the death of a few family members and friends of the ERS team. We are proud to finally be able to bring the 222A out to the audience. While there are further improvements coming in the future, the current release is fully flyable and useable.

    • Self shadowing, bump maps, and specular maps
    • FSX specific animations
    • 1 high quality exterior and interior model
    • 4 hand crafted exterior liveries
    • Custom FDE
    • DirectX Compatible
    • Custom start up system
    • High quality sound set

I just downloaded it and took it for a spin. Overall, it looks great, but performance wise, I can't say as much. I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to helicopters, but after I got it started and took off, I flew for a few minutes and then my engine quit. I couldn't figure out why though. Even when starting it I had a hard time. I'm sure that's just because of my avoiding helicopters for so long. The panel is good, has all your gauges, a GPS, and an overhead panel. And best of all, it's free! I'd say it's pretty good if you're good with helicopters, I don't think I'll be able to fly it until someone teaches me though :P
