  • Let's explore Mount Mckinley (aka Denali)

I am starting to plan a flight through beautiful
Alaska from Talkeetna and back to Talkeetna
Suggested scenery and flight plan to follow shortly...

See Photos of Mt Denali http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2...ange-alaska/#/
See info on Mt Denali National Park https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denali

To enjoy the scenery and facilitate navigation, I will be using Clear Skies from FSX with a Dec 20th 2015 time of 9:45am
    Here are 2 photos https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...hint=folder%2c

(This will get us a nice sunrise and some snowy mountains)

Flight will be using Simlink, so please set up successfully PRIOR to joining this flight.
Recommend aircraft is the Beechcraft KingAir 350 as I tested with Cessna 208 and it had trouble high up... sorry, no glacier landings this time.
Check Msflight.NET website for info on setting up Simlink and using model matching codes.

The flight plan and other information will be posted prior to the flight, and I will be arriving on teamspeak at 8pm EST 1 hour prior to the flight's start time.
Recommend you arrive 15-30 minutes earlier so your flight plan and aircraft are set up PRIOR to flight starting.

Looking forward to meeting you !

    Hey!

It is getting closer to our exporation of Mt Denali, beginning this Wednesday at 9pm EST April 20th 2016, departing from PATK (Talkeetna).

Please see my OneDrive link for all related files (PLN, PDF, Scenery, etc.):
    https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resi...hint=folder%2c
Please read the text file "Denali Read Me" in the onedrive folder 'Denali - 042016'

For a tight course flight such as, this I recommend using my supplied FSX PLN using GPS, about a 155 KIAS with 1000fpm vertical climb/decent rate, the passing altitudes listed in the PLAN-G flight plan PDF file. But is is your call how you fly, just please keep clear of other aircraft.

Thanks again for the great flight FlightBuff; well thought-out, well planned, spectacular scenery and great company. I particularly liked the tight climbing and descending turns.

        Much appreciated.
