Looks like my kind of flight. But with another 70 degree day and calm winds..... I will probably be outside somewhere. I will come by if I get bored to be sure!

Thanks for hosting, Mudder. Contact any staff for TeamSpeak group flight channel edit an hour before your flight. Include a link to your flightplan website thread in the TS right hand column as a flight description. I'll be there to assist in this TS channel edit if you wish and I'll join the flight. If you wish your flight tweeted, contact Storm who runs our community twitter feed three or four hours before departure time, confirm to Storm that the flight will occur as published and request of Storm a reminder tweet go out on Twitter.
      Respects, Bob ...

Requesting is insufficient and will not guarantee your event will be tweeted. In any event, three or four hours is far too short a time as (a) events are generally tweeted 10 hours before the event start, and (b) queued up for tweeting several days in advance. Once you have a track record of reliably hosting events, a reminder for your event will be tweeted automatically.

What does it mean to have a track record of reliably hosting events? Your events should be realistic and well described, so make sure you allow enough time (flight time plus 10 extra minutes for each and every intermediate stop is a good rule of thumb). You should turn up before your events and stay for the full advertised time, so no no-shows, no lateness or leaving early. And having posted the event well in advance, you shouldn't change it just before it takes place so, for example, no changing to a special aircraft download minutes before departure.

To my knowledge, this flight never happened Bob. I was in the Elite or Lobby channel yesterday during these times and he was a No-show.

Storm, could you put something to the above effect into your OP on the twitter account?

I'm thrilled that these group flights pop up on the calendar but hate to see them fail, and so I'd like to ensure the availability of any advice, encouragement, and support. On that note, I thought we had something of a high-level guide on hosting scheduled flights, but I can't find it... am I mistaken?

Mudder, while hanging out in the lobby yesterday morning, I did sense some interest in the flight (individuals asking me how SimLink works, what aircraft would be appropriate, etc). I directed those pilots as best as I could. Sorry to hear the flight may not have happened (reading Travis' post above). I hope you'll give it another go (with more details for the uninitiated, perhaps) soon!

Good suggestion. :eagerness: Notes about tweet scheduling and host track record reliability duly added. Also I added a link to that post in my signature.
